This is the “beginning of something new” for Vanessa Hudgens and Cole Tucker.
The couple were photographed leaving a hospital in Santa Monica, California, with their first child on Wednesday, Tucker’s 28th birthday.
The newborn’s gender and exact date of birth are unclear.
In photos obtained by Page Six, Hudgens is seen sitting in a wheelchair, holding her little miracle in her arms, as the baseball star follows closely behind with their bags and belongings.
The 35-year-old actress wore black sweatpants and a light blue shirt, while Tucker opted for a teal printed hoodie, black shorts and flip-flops.
Hudgens made sure to wear sunglasses as the trio walked to the car with hospital staff.
At one point she held the baby tenderly against her cheek.
Despite the busy day, the new mom still found time to post an Instagram message in honor of the athlete’s big day.
“Happy birthday my little piece of heaven @cotuck 🥳 you make the world a better place just by being you ♥️🤟🏽,” she captioned an adorable carousel.
The “High School Musical” star initially kept news of her pregnancy under wraps, waiting to reveal her baby bump until her Oscars red carpet appearance in March.
She wore a black Vera Wang dress at the time and later that evening her budding belly was on display again in a sheer, off-the-shoulder ensemble.
Hudgens continued to show off her pregnancy style in subsequent social media posts, featuring photos taken during her trips to Disneyland and on date nights.
The singer and Tucker announced their engagement in February 2023, after two years of dating.
Hudgens, who previously dated Austin Butler and her “HSM” co-star Zac Efron, married the Colorado Rockies player in December of that same year.
Their extremely private ceremony took place in Tulum, Mexico.
Just before their wedding, the former Disney Channel star responded to online rumors about a possible pregnancy.
“Not pregnant so y’all can stop,” she wrote in October 2023 after wearing baggy clothes during her bachelorette weekend in Aspen.
When Hudgens confirmed she was pregnant five months later, she wasn’t the only “HSM” cast member expecting a baby.
Ashley Tisdale, who played Sharpay Evans on the series, told her followers on Instagram that same month that she was expecting her second child.
“We can’t wait to meet you,” she captioned adorable snaps of her and husband Christopher French’s 3-year-old daughter, Jupiter.
Tisdale’s followers raved about her and Hudgens, who played Gabriella Montez, expanding their families at the same time, with one even saying, “The next generation of Wildcats is coming!!!”
